SUMMARY:Aloft Archers: A Parent-Youth Bowhunting Program TBA
DESCRIPTION:Aloft is excited to introduce Aloft Archers\, a unique nonprofit program in Hawai‘i designed to strengthen the bond between parents/guardians and youth through the art and discipline of bowhunting. This program blends hands-on archery and hunting skills with core values such as communication\, trust\, honor\, respect\, and responsibility\, creating an opportunity for families to connect in meaningful ways while learning self-reliance and conservation ethics. \nProgram Overview\nAloft Archers provides a structured\, multi-session course where parents/guardians and youth work together as a team to develop essential hunting and life skills. Guided by experienced mentors\, participants will learn:\n• Bow Safety & Ethics – Proper handling\, safe shooting\, and ethical hunting practices.\n• Bow Setup & Tuning – Adjusting and maintaining equipment for peak performance.\n• Precision Shooting – Mastering stance\, draw\, and aiming techniques.\n• Stalking & Tracking Game – Understanding animal behavior and navigating terrain.\n• Field Dressing & Game Processing – Honoring the harvest by preparing meat for consumption. \nMore Than Hunting—A Journey of Growth\nBeyond the technical skills\, Aloft Archers fosters communication and teamwork between parents and youth\, encouraging mutual respect and trust. By working together through challenges—whether tuning a bow\, tracking game\, or practicing patience in the field—participants develop stronger relationships and a deeper understanding of one another. \nA Cultural and Conservation Focus\nThe program integrates Native Hawaiian values of sustainability and respect for the ‘āina (land)\, teaching families about conservation\, ethical harvesting\, and the responsibility of being stewards of Hawai‘i’s natural resources. \nExpanding Opportunities\nAloft Archers will host workshops and hunting experiences across O‘ahu\, Moloka‘i\, Lāna‘i\, Maui\, and the Big Island\, offering both beginners and experienced hunters a chance to grow together. Scholarships and gear assistance will be available for families in need\, ensuring that all interested participants can take part. \nBy equipping families with valuable outdoor skills and strengthening their relationships\, Aloft Archers is more than a hunting program—it’s a lifelong investment in connection\, responsibility\, and resilience. \nWould you like to explore funding opportunities for launching this initiative?\n\n\n \n \n Contact\n \n \n Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n PhoneMessage(Required)
